Wow another day and another economy. Everyday, the Canadian dollar either rises or falls. Why? It use to be that $100 Canadian was equivalent to $50 American. Now its only a matter of a few dollars or no difference.
I remember this one time my aunt and I were in the Bellis Fair mall, and she was giving the cashier at Macy's a Canadian quarter. The cashier told my aunt that we don't take Canadian money. My aunt was furious, and told the cashier, "One of these days Canadians won't take American money because our money will be greater in value", and she walked out of the store.
I just thought I would share this with you because I feel that what my aunt said was true! It did happen, and the American economy is dropping ridiculously everyday. I believe that if Obama becomes president, he maybe able to change that country around.

Although the experience of your aunt seems outrageous to most people, it just make sense that when you go to another country you should use the currency they are using. For instance, if you go to go Malaysia, you use ringgit or If you go to France you use francs. It is not because we are neighbors or our currency and economy is better but U.S. is not Canada. We should always think that we are two different countries.
I agree, you should use the currency of the country you are in. However, the American dollar always comes back, and our dollar will soon come down. It shall go back up after the election.
